About Me

Hello! I’m Hasini Meruva, a rising 8th grader at Marvin Ridge Middle School with a passion for science, innovation, and building technology that makes a difference. For the past five and a half years, I’ve been an active member of 4-H, where I’ve served as Secretary, Reporter, and President — learning leadership, teamwork, and how to bring ideas to life through STEM.

I enjoy working on hands-on projects, especially those involving Arduino and MicroPython. Some projects I made with Arduino include Water Meter, Heart Rate Buddy, and Clear Water. I’m currently learning the fundamentals of AI and Python, and I love experimenting with how technology can help solve real-world challenges.

In 2021, I received the AT&T Inventor’s Challenge Alexander Graham Bell Prize, which encouraged me to keep creating new projects.

Outside of working on projects, I enjoy volunteering in my community, reading a good book, or playing lacrosse with my friends.

In the future, I plan to pursue a career in science.
